Speech Therapy services are provided at Hutchinson Hospital by three certified and licensed Speech-Language Pathologists.      Services include evaluation, treatment, and patient education in the following areas: Aphasia, dysarthria and apraxia Expressive and receptive language skills Dysphagia (swallowing disorder Articulation Orofacial myology Voice, fluency and aural rehabilitation Cognition           We welcome inpatients and outpatients of all ages.      Our patients typically include laryngectomy patients, stroke patients, children and adults with swallowing disorders, head injury patients, and children with language and articulation delays.      We work directly with the patient’s physician and use state-of-the-art equipment and materials to develop treatment plans tailored to the patient’s needs. Our treatment rooms are: Private Free of distractions Conducive to family participation and observation      We work very hard to keep families informed about the patient’s disability and how it can be managed effectively.
