
The Physical Therapy Department at Hutchinson Hospital is one of
the best equipped and well-staffed physical therapy departments
in the state.
We welcome inpatients and outpatients of all ages for any
of the following services:
- Evaluation and treatment of orthopedic & neurological
dysfunction
- Exercises for strengthening, range of motion, endurance,
and postural correction
- Gait evaluation and training in the use
of canes, walkers, crutches, and other assistive devices
- Lower
extremity orthotics and prosthetics consultation
- Pressure ulcer/wound care evaluation and treatment
- A variety of physical
modalities for therapeutic intervention
Typically, our patients have disabilities resulting from stroke,
Parkinson’s disease, sports injuries, head traumas, arthritis, amputations,
neurological disorders, and orthopedic conditions such as joint
replacements, fractures, strains, sprains, and soft tissue injuries.
We also offer a work conditioning program to help the injured
worker return to the job as quickly and safely as possible. This
program includes education, work simulation, stretching, strengthening,
and individualized services.
