
Our Occupational Therapy Department works
with persons of all ages to restore quality of life and skills for
daily living.
Our
staff includes a c ertified hand therapist, masters-prepared occupational
therapists, and certified occupational therapy assistants. We welcome
inpatients and outpatients and attempt to provide flexible scheduling
to meet the needs of both patients and physicians.
We enjoy a reputation for efficient
treatment, progressive and pleasant clinical setting, state of the
art equipment, and an environment conducive to maximum recovery
of daily living skills.
Services include evaluation and treatment of the following disorders:
- CVA
- Head injury
- Neurological conditions
- Connective tissue
disorders
- Traumatic injuries
Hand rehabilitation services include:
- Wound care
- Edema control
- Custom/dynamic splinting
- Specialized
treatment specific to diagnosis
Upper Quadrant Work Conditioning emphasizes specific biomechanical functions of
the upper extremity. We welcome consultation with case managers
as well as insurance adjusters.
Ergonomic Consultation is provided by highly experienced staff members
who are well known for injury prevention programs, work-site evaluations,
post-offer/pre-placement work screenings, and training of corporate
ergonomics teams.
Our therapists also have the expertise to:- Address daily living skills
with patients who have hip fractures, total hip or knee replacements,
cerebrovascular injury, or head injury.
- Evaluate and treat cognitive
and visual perception skills in a rehabilitation setting
- Treat
individuals with mental health disorders
- Work with children &
adults who have developmental disabilities
