Lifeline is a personal emergency response
system provided by the Hutchinson Hospital Auxiliary. More than
450 Lifeline units are in use in Hutchinson and other communities
within a 50-mile radius of Hutchinson.
Lifeline
helps you remain safely in your home when you: are homebound, live
alone, or are recovering from an illness or injury or have medical
problems.
Lifeline means help at the touch or
a button... You wear a small wireless button which lets you summon
help without having to reach the telephone. When you need help,
you press the button and the Lifeline unit sends a message through
your phone to the response center. The response center calls you.
If you do not answer, you volunteer responders (family or friends)
are alerted. If you need professional emergency help, paramedics
or police will be summoned.
Lifeline costs less than $1 per day.
Within Reno County (KS), the fee is $20 per month with a one-time
installation fee of $30. Outside Reno County, the fee is $20 per
month (two-month minimum) with a one-time installation fee of $50.
